Add a Model

You can add a block model, string model, GEOVIA Minex grid model, or CSV file to define the geological model for your scenario.

Add a Model Using Add in the Models Pane

  1. In the Define Geology > Models tab, in the Models pane, click Add.
  2. The Choose a data source... form appears.

  3. Select the model file.
  4. If you selected a GEMS project, the Workspace Browser form appears, in which you select the model workspace and click Ok.
  5. Click Open.
  6. The model appears in the Models pane, and the Model Details pane displays the fields appropriate to the type of model.

  7. Complete the fields that appear in the Model Details pane.
  8. Note: The fields on the Model Details pane vary depending on the type of model that you have added.

Add a Model by Dragging from Windows Explorer

Note: Drag-and-drop functionality is not supported for GEMS project models.

  1. Open Windows Explorer and select the model file you want to add.
  2. Drag the file from Windows Explorer to the Models pane of the Define Geology > Models tab.
  3. The model appears in the Models pane, and the Model Details pane displays the fields appropriate to the type of model.

  4. Complete the fields that appear in the Model Details pane.
  5. Note: The fields on the Model Details pane vary depending on the type of model that you have added.
